A flat welding flange (commonly known as a plate flange or plain flange) is a type of pipe flange designed for welding to pipes, fittings, or equipment. It features a flat face and is typically used in low-pressure and non-critical applications due to its simple structure and cost-effectiveness.
Design & Connection
The flange has a flat sealing surface and is welded only on the outer side (no internal weld required).
Suitable for butt-welding to pipes, ensuring a smooth flow path.
Pressure & Temperature Range
Primarily used in low/medium-pressure systems (e.g., PN6-PN40/Class 150-Class 300).
Operating temperature usually below 300°C (dependent on material).
